2020: GUARDIANS OF EARTH:

What is a Guardian? Here is a definition: A Defender, Protector, Keeper.
Example: A person who protects the Earth.

Thank you parents, teachers, and other adults for coming here to learn about our nonprofit’s free art competition for all kids 3 – 18 years old!


It’s about focusing on our Earth, the Environment, and the CHALLENGES we’re facing while getting kids everywhere thinking about their feelings, ideas, and solutions.

 

Children’s Art Experience! is excited to have your child participate! We want to assure you that we have your child’s safety and protection as our #1 concern.

 

Let’s begin with the six Environmental Questions. Here they are:

​

1. Who are the Guardians of Earth and what do they look like?

 

2. Why is guarding life on Earth important and what tools do Guardians of Earth use?

 

3. What living things need protection?

 

4. What threatens our Earth? What are our Environmental problems?

 

5. What Superpowers might a Guardian of Earth have?

 

6. How can you be a better Guardian of Earth?

 

Please read and discuss them with your child (if they cannot), or they can go it on their own if they’d rather. We want you to be helpful in explaining questions but not giving answers. Got it?!

All Artwork MUST be submitted by an adult - a parent, a child's guardian, or a teacher through our SUBMISSION FORM.

​

All personal information stays within our nonprofit and is not released or sold to anyone.

​

Judging of all artwork will be based on the following:

​

  1. ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVITY

  2. AUTHENTIC TO ENVIRONMENTAL THEME

  3. PROFICIENCY OF ART TECHNIQUES ACCORDING TO AGE

  4. CLARITY OF ARTWORK TITLE

 

*When you are all finished hang your art in a place for others to see. PLEASE share this competition with everyone you’d like!

 

All decisions are final and in accord with the Board of Directors of the Children’s Art Experience! Nonprofit.

 

Now About the Guidelines - They’re easy!

​

  1. It’s FREE to all kids 3-18 years everywhere.
     

  2. One Entry per child – so encourage everyone to take their time and THINK. Do not submit more than one entry, only the first entry will be judged.
     

  3. NO ADULT MAY HELP WITH IDEAS FOR THE CHILD’S ARTWORK OR DOING ANY OF THE PAINTING OR DRAWING – please! You hear us, right? This is their authentic work.
     

  4. All Artwork is to be ‘2 Dimensional’ (like a flat surface) – Rectangular Drawings and Paintings.
     

  5. Fancy art materials aren’t necessary. What are we looking for?
    Originality and creativity – just what children are great at.
     

  6. Every Artwork must have in the lower right hand corner Printed in Bold:
     

  • Child's First Name ONLY
