New Zealand schools recognize the integral importance of nature in the spiritual development of children.

CAE! traveled to a nature camp where 2 classes of 11 & 12 year olds spent 3 days having so much fun!

We hiked with them and asked them to use their ‘eagle eyes’ to look out quietly for something very special to each of them. Returning to the art classroom we used a couple drawing techniques to magically make a smaller drawing into a big one on heavy watercolor paper.

These are some of the amazing results! I didn’t notice any red grass, but she did! All their artwork was matted and framed and hung in our gallery for everyone to enjoy!
